Sunny Sight Seeing in St. Augustine, FL

The Doggies essentially took the entire month of January off to hang out in Florida. With the cold winter most of the country has been having, can you blame them?

A few days ago, they were spotted out-and-about, checking out the sights of St. Augustine… just a couple in love, enjoying their beach town vacation…

They visited the Mission, which was the site of the first Catholic Mass in America.

Then they visited the Castillo – the castle fortress. It is built from coquina (shell rock). Cannon balls would get stuck in the walls, and it was never defeated. The base of the walls are 13′ thick!

They checked out the sea wall…

… and one of the lions at the Bridge of Lions.

They spent a leisurely afternoon wandering throughout Old City, enjoying the scenery and history.

After a full day of sight seeing, they relaxed at Vilano Beach.
