About Snickers

Snickers was born in upstate New York on Thanksgiving Day, 2003, and then lived for 5 years in Hell's Kitchen, NYC. He has lived in four states since then and currently lives down south. Snickers is the founding dog of NYC Shiba Rescue, The Anipal Times, and Animals Who Educate.

Snick is a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and a registered Delta Society Pet Partner (therapy dog). He works with his human mom to teach people about empathy for animals and responsible dog ownership. He is engaged to Emmie the Superdog. They plan to get married someday and have their honeymoon at the Active Heroes Retreat.

Snick and his mom blog at Jenna & Snickers.

Around the World in a Day (at Epcot!)

Emmie and Snickers went to Epcot earlier this month. They ran into Pluto who did a little dance with them. They made lots of friends and handed out brochures.

Taking it Easy in Tampa, Florida

The Doggies hung out with three other black and tan Shibas in Tampa yesterday.

That’s One Big Gator! Gainesville, Florida

The Doggies were in Gainesville, Florida, for the Florida Gator’s homecoming game on Saturday. They were a little afraid of that huge gator, but how do you tell a couple stuffed animals that a statue isn’t real?!?!?

The Beach! Biloxi, Mississippi

The Doggies made it to the gulf coast. They toured Biloxi a couple days ago and, it would seem, ran away from their handler and into a casino!

Beginning of the Travel Route Planning

The stuffed stand-ins for Emmie and Snickers will be leaving Tupelo, MS, sometime in September and heading to Florida. From there, they will travel up the east coast to NYC and beyond… maybe even to the northern tip of Maine… before turning towards the Pacific Northwest!
